While I know from looking back through the community that one member did in fact ask for you to do this, had I noticed the request at the time I would have told them that uploads of easy to purchase releases are generally prohibited here, and cautioned you against fulfilling such a request.

Yes, I certainly should have thought to say something then, but at the same time I feel like I should be able to expect members to be able to discern for themselves what is appropriate to share and what isn't. When a request is made for an item that can still be purchased with relative ease, I would hope that such a request would be met with a suggestion (and perhaps directions on how) to buy the item, not an upload.

One of the purposes of this community is to get people to buy their releases; to me, putting the entire DVD on YouTube undermines that. I certainly can't tell you to take your uploads off of YouTube, since my only jurisdiction is this community. I can only express my disappointment that you still do not seem to grasp what this community is for.

I'm also confused about why you would want to give away something that I can only assume you bought yourself. Why should anyone be entitled to have for free what you put effort and money into acquiring? SPICE SHOWER is still easily bought from Amazon and Tower Records, and is pretty inexpensive as DVDs go, so isn't it okay to expect people to buy it? I tend to believe that if someone isn't willing to spend $40 on a DVD, they may not understand what being a fan of this band is (or at least should be) about.

Personally, I would refuse a request for this sort of thing, and tell the requester where they can purchase the item in question (and help them if Japanese retailer websites are daunting for them). I would maybe offer something more along the lines of posting screen caps to get people interested, or even audio rips instead. I would not upload it unless it was no longer available from a reliable retailer.

I also wanted to mention that I think you've made a mistake in the line-up credits in the information you put with the videos. Eiji was definitely a member of the band at the time of that live, and is the lead guitarist in SPICE SHOWER. According to FAIRY FORE+mANia, only TAITO was playing support at the that live.
